1) Our mission
InsureNest publishes clear, practical insurance education to help readers understand coverage, exclusions, claims basics, and comparison factors. We aim to produce helpful, reliable, people-first content.
2) Independence and transparency
We do not publish content that misrepresents or conceals information about who we are, who created the content, or the purpose of the content.
We do not claim affiliation with any insurer, regulator, or brand unless it’s true and clearly stated.
3) How we research and fact-check
Because insurance can affect finances, we treat accuracy as a priority and aim to correct mistakes quickly and clearly.
When creating or updating an article, we typically:
- review insurer policy wording and key documents where available
- use reputable sources (official guidance, recognised industry resources, reputable publications)
- cross-check important claims (definitions, exclusions, claim steps, common requirements)
- add a “Last updated” date when meaningful changes are made
4) Updates and maintenance
We update content when:
- rules, guidance, or common practices change
- we find better sources or clearer wording
- a reader reports a credible issue
If a change materially affects understanding (a meaningful factual correction), we may add a visible correction note (see our Corrections Policy).
5) Reviews, comparisons, and fairness
If we compare products/features or discuss insurers/providers:
- we separate facts from opinions
- we explain key assumptions and limitations
- we aim for balanced explanations (pros/cons, what to watch for)
- we do not accept payment for positive coverage
6) Advertising, affiliate links, and sponsorships
InsureNest may earn revenue from:
- Advertising (e.g., Google AdSense)
- Affiliate links (we may earn a commission if you take an action through a link)
We follow UK advertising guidance that marketing communications must be obviously identifiable and commercial intent must be clear when it isn’t obvious.
For affiliate disclosures, we use clear labels such as “Ad”, “Advertisement”, or “Sponsored” where appropriate, and we avoid unclear abbreviations like “Aff” on its own.
7) AI-assisted content (if used)
We may use tools to assist with drafting, summarising, or improving clarity. If AI is used, we still:
- fact-check key claims and figures
- verify sources
- review the final text for accuracy and reader safety (especially for insurance topics)
8) Reader feedback and corrections
We welcome corrections and feedback. If you believe a page is inaccurate or outdated, email:
contact@insurenest.net
Include the page URL, what’s wrong, and (if possible) supporting sources.
We aim to be transparent about errors and correct them promptly.
